However, 2014 aution sell made the Hermes bag the second-most expensive, sold for $185,000. The 30 cm diamond matte Himlayan Nilo crocodile Birkin bag features 18k white gold hardware and 242 diamonds with a total weight of 9.84 carats. [via WWD]
The sale was made on Tuesday at Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills at a “Luxury Accessories Signature Auction” with over 480 handbags including Chanel, Louis Vuitton and others. As reported, the buyer was at the auction, but preferred to remain anonymous.
