There’s certainly two things you can attest Rihanna can do best, which is music and wearing unusual clothes, but when it comes to being a creative director in a well established fashion brand, she might have you rethink. Oh dear, the pop star who’s also now a fashion designer proved last night at NYFW that she’s not only ambitious, but a woman of many talents when she presented her first collection as the creative director of Puma’s womenswear.
Who knew BadGalRiri is this good? Maybe Anna Wintour or Naomi Campbell who made quite a fashionably late entrance in expectance of what would go down the runway.
As Elle pointed out, Rihanna put on a more traditional runway show for Puma, showcasing a cohesive collection of what you might call statement athleisure. She stuck to a black and white color palette, and the styling hewed dark and gothic. Pieces in her collection includes: Sheer tops, platform creepers, cropped lace-up sweatshirts and matching track pants, oversized hoodies, extra long coach jackets, and boxers.
