Pharrell Williams Goes Into The Future in Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2026

On an impressive set inspired by the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the iconic fashion house unveiled its latest menswear line for Fall/Winter 2026. This collection marks the kickoff for a year-long celebration in honour of the 130th anniversary of Louis Vuitton’s famed monogram. The show paid homage to the brand’s storied history, showcasing everything from classic trunks to fresh perspectives on menswear.

Creative director, Pharrell Williams infused the fall men’s collection with a sophisticated blend of ’80s nostalgia and innovative design. The collection featured classic suits and tailored coats alongside vibrant sportswear and quirky accessories, including a bag that emulated a silver boom box. Bringing the concept of durability into focus, Williams ensured that nearly every outfit was equipped with high-performance elements.

The menswear showcased traditional suiting materials like houndstooth and herringbone, cleverly reimagined to reflect light. These pieces are not only stylish but practical for urban cyclists navigating the streets after dark. Water-repellent parkas met modern standards, while jackets woven with aluminium thread exemplified the innovative spirit Williams aims to integrate into luxury fashion.

Williams expressed admiration for Ralph Lauren, a key inspiration as he worked on the collection. He acknowledged the inherent elegance of Savile Row textiles while questioning what luxury fabrics could offer beyond aesthetic appeal. This led him to contemplate bringing the technicality of materials he has utilised at Adidas into the luxurious world of Louis Vuitton. “It’s high time to introduce properties in fabrics that do things,” Williams asserted, advocating for a new standard in menswear.

While the show began with models showcasing the designer’s futuristic prefabricated home, Drophaus, there was a curious lack of emphasis on how the innovative materials functioned. The initial showcasing of a reflective monogram trunk could have been complemented by live demonstrations of the collection’s durability and performance capabilities, a missed chance in the theatrical presentation.

Instead, Williams resorted to creative visual effects, such as dusting garments with silver crystals, a nod to his affinity for eye-catching designs and luxury. “I like quiet luxury, but I like loud luxury, too,” he remarked, encapsulating the essence of a new generation of opulence.

The trademark Monogram made a vibrant appearance throughout the collection, from caps and sleek windbreakers to luxurious bags crafted from silk and recycled nylon. This smart modern twist on classical designs highlights the longevity and adaptability of Louis Vuitton’s signature branding.

For his final appearance, Williams donned an exquisite Millionaire version of a Monogram bag, bedecked with all-gold hardware and a diamond-paved padlock – a testament to the interplay between extravagance and artistry. “Of course, we’re gonna share it. Everything is for sale, except my soul,” Williams quipped, signifying the blend of humour and seriousness that permeated the event.

The show was also notable for its atmospheric soundtrack, produced collaboratively with stars like Jackson Wang and John Legend. Live performances by Voices of Fire and l’Orchestre du Pont Neuf added an auditory layer to the visual splendour of the collection.

With a star-studded front row that included the likes of SZA, Usher, and A$AP Rocky, the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 presentation was not just a runway show; it was a cultural moment. Among the highlights, Bambam of GOT7 made his runway debut, adding to the dynamic celebrity presence that attended this fashionable affair.
