Moschino, the iconic Italian fashion house, celebrated its 40th anniversary in grand style at Milan Fashion Week. To mark this milestone, Moschino invited four renowned fashion stylists, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Katie Grand, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, and Lucia Liu, to create a stunning collection inspired by the works of the late founder, Franco Moschino.
Under the creative direction of Jeremy Scott, Moschino has become synonymous with bold and whimsical designs. However, the 40th-anniversary collection showcased a more refined approach to the brand’s signature aesthetic.
The show kicked off with Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, a 73-year-old French stylist known for her timeless elegance. Her looks exuded a restrained yet sophisticated vibe, featuring a white double-breasted two-piece suit paired with a black roll-neck top. The collection included wide-leg blue jeans, chinos, navy blazers, knitwear, and a chic beige biker jacket. This range was elevated by quirky accessories, such as heart-shaped handbags and a tiny micro bag worn as a necklace.

The showstopper was a gold chain skirt paired with a cropped black leather biker jacket, worn over a stripey black and white bikini. Adding to the drama was a cowboy hat, completing the daring and rebellious look.
In fact, Karefa-Johnson’s 10 looks in the collection were an obvious reference to the ’70s and ’80s summery aesthetic.

Her designs showcased a romantic and feminine aesthetic with flowing dresses adorned with intricate ruffles, proving that Moschino can masterfully adapt its creative vision to different styles and influences.
