Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s Fashion for BBNaija S10 Launch is Inspired by Nigerian Greats
The highly anticipated Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10 officially launched on Saturday, July 26, 2025, followed by a second unveiling night on Sunday, July 27,2025.
As expected, the show promised viewers a rollercoaster of drama, strategy, romance, and premium entertainment for the next ten weeks. But beyond the buzz around the new housemates, there was one constant that stole the spotlight, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s fashion game.
Known for making bold fashion statements every season, Ebuka returned as host and immediately took center stage; not just for his style, but for the substance behind it.
His outfits at the BBNaija Season 10 launch were more than just stylish, they were deeply meaningful, each one inspired by Nigerian greats from film, music, and political history. Every look told a story, paying homage to icons who shaped Nigerian culture, while showing off his signature flair and daring sense of style.
Let’s break down every stunning look Ebuka wore at the BBNaija Season 10 launch nights and why each one created a major fashion moment in Nigeria’s entertainment history.
The Denim Outfit by Atafo – Inspired by Osuofia
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu kicked off the BBNaija launch night in a denim outfit reimagined by Atafo and inspired by none other than Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia.
The outfit blended streetwear with vintage Nollywood charm, offering a playful yet polished homage to the legendary actor.
The TV host wore a sky-blue denim jacket embellished with silver rhinestones and studded detailing. Underneath, he wore a crisp white shirt, buttoned up for structure and contrast. The standout element is his bright pink wide-leg pants, flowing dramatically to the ground.

Ebuka even shared a side-by-side image of himself and Nkem Owoh in similar attire, celebrating Nigerian pop culture in the most fashionable way.
The outfit instantly went viral, with fans praising the bold concept and nostalgic execution.
The Majestic Pink Agbada – Honouring King Sunny Ade
No BBNaija season is complete without an Ebuka agbada moment and he did not disappoint.
This time, Ebuka stepped out in a majestic pink agbada that made jaws drop across Nigeria. Inspired by the King of Juju music, King Sunny Ade, this outfit was a cultural celebration.
Styled with red coral beads around his neck and hands, Ebuka’s agbada radiated opulence and tradition. It was the kind of look that made a bold statement without him saying a word.

Social media erupted with admiration, calling it one of Ebuka’s best traditional looks yet.
The Newspaper Print Outfit Inspired by Prince Nico Mbarga
The BBnaija’s host is no stranger to bold fashion risks, and he took things up a notch with a newspaper print outfit that turned the BBNaija season 10 stage into a fashion runway.
Designed again by ATAFO, this two-piece ensemble was inspired by Prince Nico Mbarga, the Nigerian-Cameroonian highlife artist best known for Sweet Mother, one of Africa’s highest-selling singles of all time.

Paired with white shoes and statement sunglasses, the outfit exuded retro cool while reminding viewers that Nigerian pop culture is rich with timeless icons.
This outfit sparked conversations online, with many calling it “one of the most creative fashion homages in BBNaija history.”
The Edo-Inspired Traditional Look
Ebuka closed out the BBNaija launch nights in grand style with a traditional Edo-inspired outfit that was equal parts regal and theatrical.
Featuring a loose white shirt, a red and white striped wrapper, coral bead accessories, anklets, and a raffia hat, this outfit felt like something straight out of an ancient Nigerian epic.
But the real showstopper? The trailing fabric of his wrapper was dramatically carried by one of the BBNaija Ninjas; a bold reenactment of a legendary moment by Nigeria’s first finance minister, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh.

Across both launch nights, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu showed us once again why he’s considered one of the best-dressed men in Africa.
But this season’s wardrobe did more than just dazzle; it educated, celebrated, and redefined Nigerian fashion. Each outfit was intentional, inspired by a living or legendary Nigerian icon.
These fashion moments reminded viewers, especially Gen Z and younger millennials, that Nigerian culture is not only cool but worth preserving and spotlighting.
BBNaija Season 10 may have just started, but thanks to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, it’s already a fashion success story.
