Louis Vuitton, a brand synonymous with luxury and innovation showcased its Cruise 2025 collection in Barcelona on Thursday. The iconic Parc Güell served as a breathtaking backdrop for the show, highlighting the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries and setting new standards in the industry.
Creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s vision for the Cruise 2025 collection was a celebration of texture and volume, as seen in the intricate details and bold silhouettes that graced the runway. The opening look, a minidress crafted from woven wool resembling natural fibers, set the tone for the show, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.
One of the standout elements of the collection was the emphasis on asymmetry and organic forms, a nod to the park’s architectural wonders designed by the legendary Antoni Gaudí. Ghesquière drew inspiration from Spanish culture and history, incorporating elements of matador costumes and flamenco traditions into the designs. Swishing dresses adorned with intricate floral patterns paid homage to folk ensembles, while sharp-toed biker boots and reflective sunglasses added a contemporary edge to the collection.
The use of volume was another key element that defined the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 collection, with oversized sleeves, billowing skirts, and exaggerated proportions making a bold statement on the runway. The combination of different fabrics and textures added depth and dimension to each piece, creating a sense of movement and fluidity that was both captivating and modern.
As for the show’s setting, the Parc Güell was a masterpiece. Designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, the park is a harmonious blend of symmetry and organic forms, reflecting the natural beauty of Spain.
