Bright Colors, Polka Dots, and Oversized Florals Define Carolina Herrera SS 2025 New York Fashion Week Collection

Carolina Herrera’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection made a bold and vibrant statement at New York Fashion Week, capturing the essence of modern opulence with a fresh and youthful twist.

The creative director, Wes Gordon, masterfully combined bright colors, polka dots, and oversized florals to create a visually stunning showcase that celebrated the brand’s iconic signatures while introducing new elements that resonated with a younger audience.

The show was a feast for the senses, with every detail meticulously curated to reflect a sense of joyful exuberance. From the cherry-red seats adorned with pink roses and Georgia O’Keeffe quotes to the all-Janet Jackson soundtrack that set the tone for the presentation, every aspect of the event was designed to immerse the audience.

As the models glided around an indoor fountain, they showcased a modern interpretation of the Nouvelle Society aesthetic, with a focus on playful details like bare midriffs, cutouts, and unexpected fabric pairings. Polka dots were a recurring motif throughout the collection, appearing in various color palettes and artfully mixed with oversized florals to create a dynamic visual effect that felt both classic and contemporary.

The iconic white shirt, a staple of the Carolina Herrera brand, was reimagined in fresh ways, paired with high-waisted Bermuda shorts for a chic and modern interpretation of classic silhouettes.

The collection also featured Herrera’s signature full skirts, exaggerated sleeves and shoulders, oversized rosettes, and bold hues of red and pink, all coming together to create a cohesive narrative that celebrated the brand’s heritage while pushing the boundaries of modern fashion.

Perhaps the most striking detail of the show was the yellow blooms that adorned the models’ hair, a subtle yet powerful homage to Georgia O’Keeffe and her iconic flower paintings. This delicate touch added a sense of whimsy and romance to the collection, infusing it with a sense of natural beauty and artistic inspiration. Ahead, see all the looks from Carolina Herrera’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
