The Paris Haute Couture Week is in full swing, with Schiaparelli opening the show on Monday (July 3) with Cardi B. We were not surprised to see the singer taking the front row of the show while looking absolutely stunning in her dramatic dress. What a stunner!
Cardi and Schiaparelli are a match made in heaven. She’s one of the major clientele of the avant-garde Italian fashion brand, having worn the label on countless occasions. For the opening show of the autumn/winter season this morning, the American rapper arrived at the Petit Palais wearing a black velvet gown with gold trim and a huge fluffy black jacket.

Accessorized with a black head wrap and statement-making gold earrings, Cardi’s look was straightaway plucked out from the label’s collection — a typical Schiaparelli signature.

The show attendance included Tracee Ellis Ross who sat just close to Cardi, Gwendoline Christie of Game Of Thrones, French actor Philippine Leroy Beaulieu (who plays Sylvie in Netflix series Emily In Paris), and fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni, among others.
As for the collection, there was no big surprise as creative director Daniel Roseberry played with volume and texture in a mix of confection, as usual. There was a sculptural black and white skirt suit with an oversized collar, cuffs, and hem. There were also black and white winter coats delivered with voluminous sleeves and collars, as well as a gigantic metallic puffer coat, finished off with strings of gold beads.
