We’re not sure about the inspiration behind the dress but Cardi B was an actual angel in her own right at this year’s Grammy Awards.
Cardi, whose career in music is snowballing like a wildfire graced the red carpet wearing this eclectic look that featured elaborate detailing and winged sleeves in real life. According to her stylist Kollin Carter, she wanted the singer to look ‘super-fun’ because Cardi herself loves playing around with fashion.
“With Time’s Up going on, I wanted to be sure that we kept everything super-fun (because Cardi’s fun and goofy and she like to play around) but remained timeless, classic and elegant,” Kollin told The Hollywood Reporter. “She will look like a butterfly on the red carpet, like she has wings. Let’s just say that by the end of the carpet, she’ll be America’s angel.”
The beautiful ensemble was then accessorized with a pair of matching shoes, pieces of silver jewelry, as well as a white rose that gave off some bridal vibes. Scroll on to see the dress from all angles:
