Its incredible that ten years after the theft of the pair of Judy Garland’s sequined ruby red slippers from her museum in her Minnesota hometown, the shoe hasn’t vanished from the minds of shoe addicts. That is to say the shoe is one in a billion.

According to the report, four pairs were made for Judy Garland to wear in The Wizard of Oz, one of which is still on display at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

In recognition of their long time disappearance, an anonymous super-fan of the movie has offered $1 million reward to anyone with valuable information leading to the iconic sequined red slippers’ where-about. Because the shoes have to return back home.

As AP pointed out, the famed shoes were originally insured for $1 million, but could be worth anywhere between $2 and $3 million at this point.
