After years of hiatus, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is returning with a different vibe and it’s expected to be grandeur. The lingerie giant announced on Tuesday (May 9) the Victoria’s Secret World Tour, a global fashion event to feature the work of innovative creatives, a new generation of women from around the world. These innovative creatives as per the brand, represent four fashion curations coming from cities such as Bogotá, Lagos, London, and Tokyo.
“Introducing the VS20, a group of innovative creatives from around the world who represent four fashion curations from Bogotá, Lagos, London, and Tokyo,” says the brand on its Instagram page. “We’re proud to pioneer an event that reveals the artistic process and personal narratives of these dynamic artistic forces. Hailing from the fashion, film, design, music, and visual fields, they have the creative freedom to conceptualize, produce, and stage a collection that is all their own.”

On the list of creatives include fashion designer Jenny Fax, Bubu Ogisi, Melissa Valdes, and creative director Supriya Lele, among others from other creative industries. This comes almost 6 years since the lingerie brand last aired its annual iconic fashion show in 2018 due to declining sales and ratings.
But however, it appears like the brand is stepping up its game for something bigger and better with the show which is coming in September. Because, unlike the VS fashion show, the Victoria’s Secret World Tour will showcase the design talent of 20 global creatives, along with its custom creations. It’s not clear whether the VS Angels will also make a comeback but the show is promising to be history-making.
