Toyin Lawani is an amazing fashion designer who has a huge database of celebrity clientele. What you may not know, however, is that she’s also a soothsayer. The one who predicted the Covid-19 outbreak was going to hit hard in Nigerian and sent her muses down the red carpet in blink-blink face masks during the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards on March 14th.
One of the muses in question is non-other than the former BBNaija’s Ifu Ennada — who not only made her entrance but managed to shut it completely down in an ultra-sparkling blazer, matching jacket, pants and a pair of glossy silver pumps, complete with matching walking stick and her blinged-up face masks.
At this point, coronavirus was never a thing in the West African country but Toyin Lawani saw it coming and today she’s scoring herself the cover of KOKO Magazine’s special coronavirus issue. On the cover, the Lagos-based designer drapes herself in an elaborate gold dress that came complete with a headgear and nose mask. As clearly pointed out by the magazine, Toyin Lawani is the designer who saw the future.
And meanwhile, here’s thanking the health workers, the generous philanthropists, and all frontline workers whose commitments during this pandemic cannot be overemphasized.
