Tommy Hilfiger Is Releasing A Clothing Line Specifically For Disabled People

In an industry where diversity is still a talking point, disabled people are no doubt the most ignored but Tommy Hilfiger is finding a way to close that gap. According to Bloomberg, the American designer is set to release his first fashion line for people with disabilities.

Announced on Tuesday, Hilfiger’s adaptive clothing line is all about making it easier for the wearer to dress up effortlessly. The clothes will come with magnetic closures so as to make it easier to wear with one hand or pull them over the head. And the trousers will feature velcro, magnetic flies, and zippers, as well as adjusted leg openings and hems to accommodate leg braces and orthotics.

With 37 pieces for the men’s line and 34 styles for women’s, it’s not hard to see the collection will cater to all your wardrobe needs. Talking about the new market, Hilfiger describes it as part of “the democratization of fashion.” So now, disabled people all around the world can rejoice because the time to slay has come.
