Princes Diana was best known for her impeccable style, and in order to honor what would have been her 54th birthday on July 1, one of her breathtaking pieces went to auction. This is a dress that is reportedly one of the first dresses Gianni Versace designed for Diana. The body-hugging silk gown is beautifully embellished with gold studs and colorful glass beads, and you know how lovers of iconic style can splurge on such dresses.

As reported, the bidding started at $30,000, and went up to $60,000, and then $80,000 as the estimated price – but finally sold six times more than the expected bid, ended at $200,000. Interesting!
