According to MailOnline, Kate is rarely seen without a small box clutch on official engagements and often carried in front of her with both hands.
While a lot of us never took notice of her affinity with clutch bags, thanks to Etiquette expert Myka Meier who revealed that her commitment with the bag is a way of avoiding unwanted handshakes. “When the Duchess is at an event, she holds her bag in front of her in both hands when shaking hands might be awkward,” Meier told Good Housekeeping.
