There’s a terrifying report that is circulating on the internet right now about a woman who got a horrible infection from wearing her hair tie around her wrist.
According to the report, a woman named Audree Kopp was hospitalized when she noticed a painful bump on her wrist that kept growing in size, and never seemed to have responded to any antibiotics – the doctor told her she was infected by the bacteria that were living in her hair tie she usually wears around her wrist. According to doctor, the bacteria made it way under her skin through her pores and hair follicles that if she hadn’t noticed in time, it would’ve progressed to a more life-threatening condition.
“I didn’t believe it at first,”Audree told CBS Philadelphia. “I thought that it was a spider bite, or something else, not from wearing hair ties.”
