You might remember that for its April 2016 issue, Vogue enlisted Rihanna as their cover star, but it seems Kendall Jenner’s slew of catwalk domination has paid off to have scored her Vogue‘s April 2016 special edition issue. The cover shot by Mario Testino is kendall’s first for American Vogue and it focuses on all things Kendall — from her life goals to her social media prowess. The shining model poses in a crop top and simple bikini bottoms by Proenza Schouler.
While the new issue will only be available to New York and LA subscribers, industry leaders like Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld and Michael Kors gives some lofty reviews about Kendall that makes us love her even more:
“She is a combination of things. She is beautiful. She exudes American ease. She’s young. As a house, you become part of the culture by embracing someone like her.” — Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein
“She wants to take it extraordinarily seriously, and that’s part of the reason she’s been so successful,” — Chris Gay, the president of the Society Management.
“She is a very sweet person, very caring and not at all spoiled by those superficial successes. I must say I love her.” — Karl Lagerfeld
“She’s sophisticated but laid-back. She’s both. She’s chic. She’s the Ali MacGraw for the Instagram generation. I remember when Ali first hit in Love Story, every girl in the world wanted to wear her hat. Kendall is Ali times a zillion.” — Michael Kors
The good news is Kendall’s crop top is available to buy. Check her cover shoot below (and shop), and scoot over to Vogue to read the rest.
