The Hermes Birkin bag is not the average bag you see every day. Not even this badass version called “Himalaya,” which according to the report, is “exceptionally rare, with only one or two believed to be made each year because of a time-consuming process to dye its crocodile skin.” The bag is reported to have over 205 diamonds and 18-karat gold buckles coated on the handles. No wonder why the bidder could squeeze out a whopping amount of money to snag it.
The Himalaya Birkins just for $380,000 at an auction in Hong Kong, breaking the world’s record as the first bag to have ever sold for such a huge amount of money. The amount exceeded that of its contender which was acquired for the sum of $300,000 in 2016.
