As the year is gradually coming to an end, The Fashion Awards in partnership with Swarovski has announced its full list of nominees that will contend for this year’s awards. The annual event slated to take place on the 10th of December in London is recognizing ten categories, including Accessories Designer of the Year, Brand of the Year, Designer of the Year, Model of the Year, Urban Luxe, and so on.
Good news for Gucci fans as the brand is nominated for the Accessories Designer of the Year, followed by Balenciaga, Loewe, Dior, and Prada. And comes as no surprise, the coveted labels also reappeared in the next category with new contenders such as Burberry and Off-White, kicking out Loewe and Dior to secure their position in the Brand of the Year category.
As for Models of the Year category, Adwoa Aboah who was 2017 winner was renominated to battle it out with the model of the moment Kaia Gerber, as well as Bella Hadid, Winnie Harlow, and Adut Akech.
According to Swarovski executive, Nadja Swarovski who explained to the press, the nominees reflect the fashion industry of today. “This list is the perfect showcase for the energy and diversity of the industry today,” she said. ‘Each and every one of them is being recognized for their creative excellence and innovation.”
Overall, the awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of current industry leaders as well as newcomers and the likes. Below, the full lists of the nominees.
