Expensive Sneakers Are Not Better Than The Cheap Ones, According to a Study

There’s a general belief that goes with anything: the higher the price, the higher the quality. But in the case of sneakers, (running shoes per se) it turns out the other way round: the higher the price, the lower the rating in many cases.

That means if you’re contemplating investing in some pricey sneakers, you just need to think again. According to a new study published by The Washington Post and conducted by RunRepeat.com, after analyzing nearly 135,000 consumer reviews it gathered over a year on the retail prize of most of the popular brands of running shoes, the result turned out interesting – which is, on average, expensive running shoes were rated lower than cheaper versions.

“In fact, the 10 most expensive running shoes, with an average list price of $181 per pair, were rated 8.1 percent lower than the 10 cheapest models (average price $61).” – Says Washington Post.

As RunRepeat.com website’s founder pointed out, “If money is a matter to you, you will not get more in expensive running shoes,” “Affordable mid-range running shoes are very nearly the same as expensive running shoes.” – he added. To get the full analysis head over to The Washington Post.
