Sometimes it takes to have famous parents or belong to the elite group for you to earn a modeling contract with one of the prestigious modeling agencies in the world but for US teenager Anok Yai, a single Instagram photo becomes her turning point. A few days ago, a picture of Yai went viral on the internet after she was snapped by a street photographer who later posted the image on Instagram.
According to the reports, while walking through a ceremonial Yard festival at Howard University in Washington, D.C a week plus ago, the 19-year-old bumped into photographer Steve Hall, who was taking photos for his fashion website, The Sunk. She was instantly complimented for her model looks by the photographer and without any delay, Yai decided to pose for the camera in which was snapped.
Neither did she or the photographer knew she was going all the way up, she posted the image to her ‘Gram page and within a week, the attention it received was overwhelming. The picture, having gone viral, Yai’s Instagram following increased rapidly from 300 to 59,000 and immediately the applications from modeling agencies started blowing up like a time-bomb.
Now, we can firmly confirm that the sophomore at Plymouth State University and the Egyptian-born beauty has signed a mouth-watering contract with Next Models, the agency responsible for International runway models such as Alanna Arrington, Anja Rubik, and Crista Cober.
She shared the exciting news on her Instagram and even Next Models too was proud to announce it on their official Twitter account:

‘I got an email from a modeling agency. They said they were interested in having me and they had me call them. And they just set up tons of interviews and it just went on from there,’ Yai told the Washington Post.
