There was certainly no baby bump in sight at the Oscars until Rihanna showed up.
Right from her first pregnancy, it’s fair to say (at least) Rihanna was knocking maternity dressing out of the park. She never shied away from baring it all and was all about embracing the baby bump just the way it is — to possibly paving the way for a new age in maternity dressing.
Nowadays other pregnant women can confidently bare their baby bumps for all the glory but it appears Rihanna is departing from her favorite bump consciousness when it comes to fashion. During the 95th annual Academy Awards held last night at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Rihanna arrived on the glamorous red carpet in a showstopping ensemble by Alaïa.
Photo: Getty Images Her look — a dark brown leather bra and maxi skirt set crafted over a matching sheer mesh turtleneck top that covered up her burgeoning baby bump. Hugging her body just at the right places, the avant-garde skirt featured high cutouts on the side and a long train that swept the floor as she walked. The expectant mom-of-one accessorized her look with a pair of strappy heels and Moussaieff High Jewellery while opting for a spiky bun hairstyle, silver eye shadow, and crimson red lips.

The music superstar wore two other ensembles — one during her performance which was unsurprisingly rated high and one after the event.
Per the reports, she quickly changed before performing her song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The track was nominated for Best Original Song, further earning the star her first Oscar nomination.
Taking the stage for the performance, Rihanna wore a glamorous strapless black two-piece heavily embellished with crystals. It offered a signature element of her usual maternity dressing with vavavoom mesh detailing. The look was accessorized with layered diamond necklaces, matching opera gloves, and diamond drop earrings, while her hair was styled into voluminous tousled waves.

This time around, Rihanna swapped her look into a bump-conscious aesthetic that sees the expectant mums showing off her tummy with pride. She’s wearing a custom-made Bottega Veneta mint creation, comprised of an off-the-shoulder silk bustier, long skirt, leather gloves, and knee-high strappy sandals.
In another photo, Rocky who was outfitted in a creamy and black tuxedo was seen caressing her baby bump.
