Just when you thought Nana Akua Addo would give other people the permission to shine on the red carpet, she just returned to the 2019 Glitz Style Awards to concretely cement her longstanding status. The actress, fashion slayer, and budding fashion designer was one of the attendees at the event hosted at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra last Saturday and unsurprisingly, she managed to shut it completely down in a stunning gown by a Filipino designer, Cary Santiago.
This lewk, for Santiago, is not only an interpretation of how birds elegantly glide their wings but the effortless beauty they have upon spreading their wings. We can’t consciously or unconsciously imagine the kind of work that was put into this creation. From the level of intricacy, and fabric manipulation, to sculptural precision — in fact, it’s a wonderful piece of art we’ve seen for a long time and Nana Akua Addo delivered the look with such aplomb.
Styled by Nigeria’s Jeremiah Ogbodo (a.k.a Swanky Jerry), the actress showed up looking like the glamorous goddess from the future whose mission is aimed at liberating us all from any fashion rut.
Finished with a matching pair of earrings with dark eyeshadow and lustrous brown lips, Nana’s look is everything we could ever dream of.
