Following the 94th edition of the Academy Awards which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday, there was another big ceremony over in Dubai the next day: TIME100 Impact awards and gala. The awards honor leaders and change-makers who, ‘through sustained effort, have done extraordinary work to shape the future of their industries and the world at large.’
The event took place in the newly opened Museum of the Future, a seven-story, elliptical structure situated along Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road. Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade, who has been in Dubai on vacation and the celebration of her daughter’s graduation, was one of the celebs on the guest list.
For the event, the actress showed up on the red carpet in a stunning black wrap dress featuring long sleeves, a gathered waist, and a sweetheart neckline. She accessorized the ladylike number with the matching clutch and heel sandals, as well as silver dangling earrings and a stone necklace.
Meanwhile, she debuted her newly-found beloved white hair, hinting that she’s never going back to black hair — not because of the aesthetic but the attention. “How I showed up at the First Ever @time 100 Impact Awards Dubai.” the 44-year-old movie star wrote while sharing her looks from the event. “Not sure I’m going back to black hair…😂 I’m enjoying the special attention … 😜”
Last weekend, Omotola took to Instagram to reveal the new look of her hair and was given a nod of approval by colleagues and fans. “Yep … I Cut and Tinted my hair….,” the post captioned while asking followers their option by adding, “Yahhhhh or Nahhhh …. 🍷”
