The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, dazzled with her impeccable sense of style as she made a stunning appearance at the first-ever Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit in New York City. The summit, themed “Mental Wellness in a Digital Age,” aimed to address the growing concerns surrounding the impact of social media on the mental health of children and teenagers.
For the event, Meghan opted for an all-white ensemble that exuded elegance and chic. She wore an off-the-shoulder blazer, paired with wide-leg pants of the same color. The choice of a pantsuit demonstrated her sartorial prowess and her penchant for making fashion statements, as she bared her shoulders while maintaining a regal and polished look.
To complement her ensemble, Meghan accessorized with beige suede pumps that added a touch of classic charm. She also wore a delicate gold chain necklace with a black center pendant, along with tiny gold hoop earrings. Not to be overshadowed, Prince Harry looked dapper in a dark gray suit, with a light blue shirt, and a black tie.
The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit is a part of the Project Healthy Minds’ second annual World Mental Health Day Festival. This event serves as a platform for families who strive to create a safer online world and prioritize the mental well-being of children and teenagers. Families who have tragically lost their children as a result of social media usage have been collaborating with the Archewell Foundation to develop solutions and share their experiences. The summit aims to generate relevant data and research to address the pressing issues surrounding mental health in the digital age.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not alone in their efforts to explore this topic. They were joined by U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and NBC’s Carson Daly, who added their expertise and insights to the summit. The collaboration of these influential figures reflects the urgency and importance of finding solutions to the digital pressures faced by young people today.
Prior to the summit, the Sussexes made a stop at the Marcy Lab School, a tuition-free post-secondary education program focusing on engineering and technology. There, they led a conversation about the mental health concerns posed by the digital world. This engagement showcased their dedication to engaging with communities and sparking meaningful discussions around critical issues.
“I think my husband was asking about online spaces because it’s a place where so much community can be built, but there’s also so much vulnerability,” Meghan said at the time according to the pool reporter Janine Henni. “Theres a lot of saturation, and as parents, we can be hopeful knowing that your bright minds [are at work], knowing that they will be seen, valued and growing in the right direction. And that’s why it’s so important what you’re doing at the Marcy Lab.”
