Lupita Nyong’o stole the spotlight at the star-studded opening of Dolce & Gabbana’s 40th-anniversary exhibition in Milan on Saturday.
The actress flaunted her slender figure in a sequinned silver mini skirt paired with a matching crop top that showcased her abs. In a video she posted on Instagram last night, Nyong’o could be seen posing and dancing seductively in the look. “Caption this: Giving you…@dolcegabbana #PalazzoReale,” she captioned the look.
But it wasn’t just the outfit that turned heads — rather, her unique sense of style and fashion-forward approach gave the entire look a refreshing look. Her choice to layer the co-ord over a sheer black bodysuit added an element of allure and sophistication to the ensemble while highlighting her physique.
She completed the look with black high heels, stylish shades, and an unconventional updo.
The Dolce & Gabbana exhibition, titled “From the Heart to the Hands,” celebrates the brand’s iconic designs and deep-rooted connection to Italian culture. Bringing together one-of-a-kind creations for the first time, the exhibition is a love letter to the craftsmanship and artistry that define the fashion house.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the creative minds behind the brand, shared their vision for the exhibition, hoping to inspire the new generations and encourage them to express themselves boldly.
“Our dream is to inspire the new generations, to encourage them to express what they feel, and give them courage,” Stefano said while speaking to Financial Times ahead of the exhibition opening.
Domenico added: “We would like young people to see in the artistic professions an alternative, an antidote to banality and homogenization. And if this project leads them to marvel at the creativity and craftsmanship that are contained not only in the final product, but in the entire process, we will feel truly happy.”
