One of the many things retro fashion does is, it reminds people or reawaken the golden memories of the good old days. Who remembers the days where everyone would hit the discotheque in pants with massive flared bottom, sloppy shirts and some sort of heeled booties? That’s exactly what we’re talking. And though Lupita Nyong’o wasn’t born at that time, she certainly knows how to live it.
While attending the Crystal + Lucy Awards yesterday, the ’12 Years a Slave’ actress hit the red carpet in a sloppy midnight blue blouse paired with a high-waisted ’60s inspired pants that instantly ooze out the vintage vibes. Nyong’o’s blouse featured a flattering neckline that injected a bit of glamor and she tucked it in nicely to accentuate her tiny waist. Meanwhile, the actress’ pants had no side pockets, front zipper but were able to hug and squeeze the hell out of her figure.
She finished off the look with a vintage-inspired hairstyle, hoop earrings, and color pop lips.
