It’s crystal clear Meghan Markle almost diverted all the royal attention and that’s because of Kate Middleton’s maternity leave following the birth of her third child, Prince Louis, in April. But not to worry, the Duchess of Cambridge is back to the public eye looking elegantly chic as ever.
Attending a state dinner at Buckingham Palace in honor of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands last night, the Duchess was sure to turn heads in this rather fabulous floor length gown by her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen. You’ve got to love this pick, it looks just too perfect and gorgeous on the mother-of-three.
The dusty blue dress features ruched motifs and fishtail design and we’re feeling a little obsessed. The formal wear was teamed with vintage accouterments which include the Lover’s Knot tiara, a favorite of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, teardrop pearl earrings, and a diamond and pearl necklace that once belonged to the Queen Mother, according to reports.

Last night’s appearance marked the first formal event Kate attended since welcoming her third child. And it appears to be after her last formal state dinner in February in Oslo, where she wore a caped blush pink Alexander McQueen gown with silver beaded embroidery at the collar.
