Julia Fox is never one to shy away from making a sartorial statement, so we weren’t surprised to see her wear a see-through top at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.
All eyes were on the actress when she attended the Art of Elysium Paradis 25th anniversary party, wearing what looks like a transparent glass bodice that gave an eyeful of her breast. The unconventional dress was also characterized by a voluminous white skirt with a dramatically poofy tier and a billowing train.
As usual, the daring look sparked buzz on social media as well as a conversation around fashion norms and what should be deemed appropriate for red-carpet events. But however, despite her daring fashion choice, Fox managed to look unbothered, displaying confidence and a strong sense of style.
While red carpets have typically been pretty predictable in terms of clothing, Fox’s look was a refreshing take on the naked dress trend. As she made her way down the carpet, many admired the actress’ sassiness for embracing her own sense of style—even when it came to her lack of clothing.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Fox has been seen wearing a look that isn’t quite the norm. The actress has stated in interviews that she enjoys having fun when it comes to style. Back in September last year, Fox made news for her see-through outfit, when she wore a dress that looked like what is made of saran wrap while attending the Harper’s Bazaar Global Icons Party in New York.
