Cate Blanchett Looks Better Than Anyone in a Polka-Dot Pantsuit

The Venice Film Festival is undeniably one of the most glamorous events in the entertainment industry, attracting A-list celebrities from around the world. Among the stars who have graced the red carpet this year, one stands out for her impeccable style — none other than the elegant Cate Blanchett.

As the festival kicked off its second day on Thursday, all eyes were on Blanchett as she made a striking appearance at the photo call for her new Apple TV+ series, Disclaimer. Dressed to impress in a bold and eye-catching ensemble, Blanchett proved why she is a fashion star.

The standout piece of her outfit was undoubtedly the polka-dot pantsuit from the Moschino Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection. This statement suit, styled by LA-based stylist Elizabeth Stewart, showcased Blanchett’s unique sense of style comprised of a black single-breasted blazer adorned with large white dots paired and matching straight-leg slacks.

The actress forwent the polka-dot tie that was originally part of the ensemble on the runway, allowing the suit to take center stage and highlight her sartorial elegance. The decision to layer a crisp white tuxedo shirt underneath added a touch of classic sophistication to the outfit, while the choice of pointy black heels complemented the overall aesthetic seamlessly.

In true Blanchett fashion, simplicity and elegance were key elements of her styling approach. She kept her accessories to a minimum, choosing to wear only silver stud earrings. This minimalist approach allowed the polka-dot pantsuit to shine and reaffirmed Blanchett’s status as a fashion maven with an innate understanding of how to make a statement on the red carpet.

Meanwhile, the highly anticipated movie is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Renée Knight, which is set to be released on October 11.
