On Christmas Day, Beyoncé delivered a dazzling halftime show performance at the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game, marking her first-ever live rendition of tracks from her Cowboy Carter album.
The audience erupted in cheers as the Houston native took center stage, bringing a festive spirit to the holiday occasion. Among the crowd was her 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, who added an extra layer of excitement to the event.
The atmosphere reached a new high when Blue Ivy made a surprise appearance during the performance of “Texas Hold ‘Em.” Joining her mother, Blue Ivy showcased her dance moves alongside Beyoncé and the backup dancers, seamlessly blending into the vibrant spectacle. Fans were thrilled to witness the mother-daughter duo sharing the stage, a moment that highlighted their close-knit relationship and shared love for music and dance.

This performance is not Blue Ivy’s first time taking the spotlight alongside her famous mother. Throughout Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour in 2023, the young star was often seen dancing with her mom or alongside the backup dancers.
Their on-stage chemistry and the joy they brought to each performance have warmed the hearts of fans worldwide. While Blue Ivy stole the limelight this Christmas, her twin siblings, Rumi and Sir, were notably absent from the event.
The Carter family’s privacy has been a topic of discussion, especially with Beyoncé and Jay-Z choosing to keep their younger children more shielded from the public eye. Rumi and Sir last made a public appearance at the Super Bowl, where Rumi joined her sister and father in coordinating fashionable athletic attire.
Notably, Blue Ivy’s solo appearance with her parents at the Los Angeles premiere of “Mufasa: The Lion King” on December 9 further showcased her growing presence in the public and entertainment spheres.
In a revealing email interview with GQ in September, Beyoncé elaborated on her family’s approach to privacy, sharing her admiration for her kids. She stated, “Blue is an artist. She has great taste in music and fashion,” a testament to the talent already flourishing in her daughter.
Beyoncé added: “She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three. She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously, and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.”
“I build my work schedule around my family. I try to only tour when my kids are out of school. I always dreamt of a life where I could see the world with my family and expose them to different languages, architecture, and lifestyles.”
“Raising three kids isn’t easy,” she continud. “The older they get, the more they become their own individuals with unique needs, hobbies, and social lives. My twins are God-sent. Parenting constantly teaches you about yourself. It takes a lot of prayer and patience. I love it. It’s grounding and fulfilling. My kids come with me everywhere I go. They come to my office after school, and they are in the studio with me. They are in dance rehearsals. It’s natural that they would learn my choreography.”
Bey added that she’s “worked extremely hard on” making sure her children “have as much normalcy and privacy as possible,” and that her “personal life isn’t turned into a brand.”
“It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art,” she concluded. “I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family. No amount of money is worth my peace.”
