It was the grand finale of the 2017 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria competition last night at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, and the girls certainly saved their best looks for last. Sparkles, plenty of bold lips, and glamour were the highlights of their gold and silvery looks. But between the glitzy show and all the 36 contestants representing the 36 States of Nigeria, Miss Kebbi, Ugochi Ihezue, was crowned the new MBGN, taking over from the 2016 MBGN, Unoaku Anyadike.
Ihezue successfully outshined a stellar line-up of other beautiful contestants in the dancing competition, modeling, and Q&A round to snag the highly-coveted tiara. And of course, this is the first time Miss Kebbi has ever won this MBGN trophy.
Ihezue is also the product of Beth Models Africa and has been appearing on beauty campaigns as well as strutting the runways, most recently the 2016 Heineken Lagos fashion week.
Behind Ihezue, the other winners of the 2017 MGBN are as follows: Miss Amity — Miss Yobe, MBGN Universe — Miss Sokoto, MBGN Tourism — Miss Plateau, MGBN ECOWAS — Miss Oyo, Miss Photogenic/Congeniality — Miss Anambra, Model of the Year — Miss Kebbi, Best Costume — Miss Sokoto, and Best Evening Wear — Miss Bayelsa.
Please take a bow for our new beauty queen!
