Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty Is Launching a Body Care Line

Tracee Ellis Ross has once again proven that her vision for beauty extends far beyond hair.

Since its debut in 2019, Pattern Beauty has built a reputation as one of the most beloved and inclusive brands in the haircare industry. Fans around the world fell in love with products like the hydrating leave-in conditioner, the edge control that became an instant staple, and the viral hair steamer that dominated social media.

Yet, even at the height of her brand’s haircare success, Ross always hinted at something bigger. She never saw Pattern as just a line of products for curls and coils, she saw it as a celebration of care in all its forms. Today, that vision comes to life with the launch of Pattern Body, a luxurious new collection designed to care for the the skin as much as the hair.

The Pattern Body collection, which officially launches on August 21, 2025, introduces five carefully crafted products that make body care feel indulgent yet accessible.

There is the Moisturizing Body Wash enriched with aloe vera and olive oil, created to cleanse the skin while keeping it nourished and soft. The Hydrating Body Lotion blends jojoba oil, shea butter, and aloe vera for all-day hydration that melts into the skin. For those who love richer textures, the Moisture Rich Body Cream offers a plumping and firming finish while deeply moisturizing.

The Nourishing Body Oil adds a lightweight glow without any greasiness, making it perfect for layering or using on its own. And then there’s the Dry Exfoliating Body Scrub, a unique formula designed to be applied to dry skin before showering, leaving it polished and smooth. Together, the five products create a complete body care ritual that is as luxurious as it is effective.

Each product is wrapped in Pattern’s signature Midnite Amber scent, a sophisticated fragrance that blends amber, musk, and bergamot with subtle hints of citrus and floral notes. It is warm, inviting, and designed to make every application feel like a self-care ritual.

Ross herself describes the collection as a way to connect with your own skin on a deeper level. “When using these formulas, I want people to feel hydrated, radiant, and glowy. But mostly I want people to feel like themselves,” she says. “I want you to be able to use these products and remember who you are. Pattern Body invites you to honor your skin with every swipe of scrub, wash, oil, lotion, and cream that you put on yourself.”

For Tracee Ellis Ross, this expansion is deeply personal. From the beginning, she named her brand Pattern Beauty instead of Pattern Hair because she knew her vision would eventually move beyond the scalp.

She explains, “Caring for my body is a daily practice of self-care and honoring, and I’m thrilled to share these essentials that support juicy and joyful skin. There is an inner radiance and the self-love that is embodied in caring for ourselves. And for me, that extends beyond just hair. People talk about the skin-ification of hair; I’m talking about the hair-ification of skin. This collection is about embracing the skin you’re in, nourishing it, hydrating it, and celebrating it.”

The pricing of Pattern Body makes the collection both aspirational and attainable, with each product ranging from $32 to $36. That accessibility has always been central to the brand’s ethos. The actress wanted to create something luxurious but not out of reach, products that allow anyone to elevate their routine without having to splurge on unattainable price tags.

The launch of Pattern Body also comes on the heels of another major cultural moment for the brand. Just earlier this summer, Pattern created a stir online with a long-awaited “Girlfriends” reunion campaign, bringing Ross together with her co-stars from the beloved sitcom to celebrate beauty and friendship.

It was a perfect reminder of how Pattern sits at the intersection of culture, care, and community. With this new body care collection, the brand once again positions itself as more than just a beauty label. Rather it is a movement rooted in identity and joy.

Fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the collection. It will be available exclusively on PatternBeauty.com starting August 21,2025, then rolling out to Ulta Beauty on August 29 and Sephora on September 5. Given how quickly previous Pattern launches sold out, it would not be surprising if the new body care line followed the same path.

Just as Pattern Hair became a staple in bathrooms and on vanities across the world, Pattern Body is poised to become the next must-have in beauty routines everywhere.
