Following the huge success after launching her groundbreaking Fenty Beauty, followed by the luxury FEИTY fashion, Rihanna is finally venturing into the skincare industry. The singer confirmed the rumors which have been flying around social media that Fenty Skincare is launching even sooner than you thought — on July 31, precisely.
“Ima try my best to be humble about this but, @fentyskin is coming July 31st exclusively at FENTYSKIN.COM!!” the Rihanna posted on her Instagram last night, with a video of her applying what appears to be a Fenty Skin cleanser. “Y’all ain’t hear it from me 🤫 but you can shop it early if ya drop me your email through the link in my bio…”
Although the news just dropped, Fenty Skincare has been in the works for more than a year now. During her interview with British Vogue in March, the 32-year-old Barbadian beauty told the magazine that skincare is the way forward as she will focus on the same level of perfection as Fenty Beauty. “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide,” the singer said.
With the information retrieved by Bazaar, Rihanna filed a trademark for the brand with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in March of last year. The information revealed that Fenty Skin trademark covers “medicated and non-medicated skincare, soap, body care and personal care products (excluding color cosmetics, perfume and other fragrance-only products), and related accessories such as kits, tools, and applicators.”
