With ’90s afro-chic hairstyle and ’90s glamour, MAC cosmetics has announced its partnership with Teyana Taylor for the launch of a new makeup collection. The singer and choreographer who the brand believes embodies “the epitome of its core values and a self-proclaimed M•A•C girl since the age of 15” will work with M.A.C team to create a capsule collection that will inspire other young women.
Of course, working with M.A.C is a dream come true for Taylor who was always inspired by the beauty giant when she was a little girl. Also, Taylor used to be amazed by the stunning campaign ads by M.A.C and as a young black girl, she used to claim that one day her photos would also be plastered on windows. It was even the brand that first fueled her love makeup.
“I’m very excited to be partnering with a company like M•A•C who I’ve watched collaborate with strong women of color over the years,” she said. “I’ve been a fan of M•A•C ever since I was 15 years old and started experimenting with makeup, it was the first brand that made me like makeup. I’m so grateful and excited to be sharing this beautiful collection I created with the M•A•C team but also hoping to inspire other young women that anything and everything is possible.”
The black beauty looks stunning in the campaign image, glamming up in super glossy lips, complete with eclectic bold style.
There’s no idea when exactly the collection will be launched but from the campaign, it probably may come as soon as possible. Meanwhile, just four days ago, the singer who just released a new album with Eryka Badu, Lauryn Hill, and Missy Elliot, announced she’s expecting a child with husband Iman Shumpert.
