If you’re anything like us, you can’t get enough of red nail polish. Right? Apart from being a universally flattering hue for every skin tone, red nails are guaranteed to give your hands a bit more oomph but surprisingly, it’s one of those things you’ll never see Kate Middleton or the Queen herself wearing.
Basically, Kate loves anything elegant — remember her streak of stylish appearances, she’s never run low on glamour but as part of royal sartorial rules, the Duchess of Cambridge is not permitted to wear a colorful nail polish to public events. According to Marie Claire UK, when it comes to official royal events, only natural-looking nails are permitted. So, over the years, Kate has been sporting something similar to Essie’s Ballet Slippers — a shade attributed to Queen Elizabeth II since 1989. According to Essie, it’s “the only color Her Majesty would wear.”
