This Artist Will Make You Fall In Love With Your Stretch Marks

In as much as there are a lot of videos, motivational articles, and Instagram aunties promoting body confidence every day, stretch marks have really ruined self-esteem and confidence in women and as a result, have left a lot worrying about their bodies. Rather than continuously hating on your body, there’s one artist who has found a way for women to start embracing the annoying marks.

Cinta Tort Cartró (aka Zinteta) is a 21-year-old Barcelona-based artist and feminist and from her social media, she has turned women’s stretch marks into beautiful works of art. We’re talking about reimagining stretch marks into something more appealing. From rainbow stripes, pastel lines, and neon waves, Zinteta aptly transformed body imperfection to perfection and we love it.

According to her discussion with Yahoo Beauty, “It all started as a form of expression, but it quickly turned into social commentary of the male-dominated culture we live in.”

Cartró also said she’s going to utilize her talent to change society’s perception of beauty. “I grew up feeling sometimes out of place. I’m tall and big, so it’s important for me to state in my art that everyone is beautiful and those ‘flaws’ are not that. They make us unique and special,” she told Yahoo.
