When Alicia Keys makes a pledge, she’s ready to fulfill it. The 15-time Grammy winner had promised herself and the world a no-makeup life and she has been keeping to those words. She wrote in Lenny Letter: “I hope to God it’s a revolution. Cause I don’t want to cover up anymore” she added — “Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing.”
When keys appeared on the 2016 BET Awards red carpet last month baring her strikingly beautiful no-makeup face, the whole world was marveled. And just when we were hunting for another makeup-free inspiration, Alicia Key was pictured in LA baring her face and proving that a girl can still be on fire without a makeup. Keys looked homely, wearing a mustard dress under animal print coat with black leggings and boots. Keys finished off the look with hoops earrings and her favorite African print headwrap that added more color to the look.
