FashionEVO and Fashion Connect Africa Team up for Africa Creative Market 2025
Fashion lovers, get ready!
FashionEVO has just raised the stakes in the African fashion scene with its new partnership with Fashion Connect Africa (FCA) for the upcoming FashionEVO Summit & Show, taking center stage on September 18, 2025, at the Africa Creative Market (ACM) in Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.
The announcement was made at a press reception at the Polo Club in Accra, Ghana, a gathering that showcased not only glamour but also the exciting potential of cross-border creative collaboration between Ghana and Nigeria.

This partnership is about building an ecosystem that celebrates talent, sustainability, and African creativity.
Dr. Ogunnubi explained, “FashionEVO Summit & Show at ACM isn’t just a showcase. It’s a stage for education, visibility, and sustainable business practices, creating opportunities that last long after the runway lights go down.” Victoria Michaels added, “We’re here with a purpose: to unlock hidden talent, empower creatives, and rewrite the African fashion story together.”
Adding even more excitement to the night was FCA’s ‘Seed to Stage’ initiative, a groundbreaking program designed to discover, train, and support emerging fashion talents from underserved communities. The program’s first beneficiary, Lydia Okine, received a six-month fashion training scholarship, two digital sewing machines, one year of workspace rent, and the chance to showcase her collection at the GUBA Trade and Investment Forum in Barbados.

As part of this partnership, five emerging fashion designers; two from Ghana and three from Nigeria, will debut mini capsule collections during the Summit & Show, inspired by street style, cultural storytelling, and sustainability. Attendees will get an up-close look at these fresh voices in fashion, with opportunities for mentorship and networking after the show.
The press launch itself was a celebration of creativity. Hosted by Ghanaian media personality Kabutey Ocansey, the event buzzed with energy as both emerging and established designers showcased their work.
The audience sparkled just as much as the designs, with high-profile guests including H.E. Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland, Barbados High Commissioner to Ghana; Kenneth Kwamina Thompson, Board Chairman of the Agricultural Development Bank; Uzoechina Molokwu, CEO/MD of UBA Ghana; Kofi Okyere Darko, Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs; and media and creative personalities from across the region.

Guests can expect masterclasses, panel discussions, a pop-up boutique, a student fashion competition, a stunning fashion installation, and an awards ceremony honoring those shaping the African fashion industry.
This collaboration between FashionEVO and FCA underscores a shared commitment to transforming the African fashion landscape through access, visibility, and collaboration.
