Italian shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti has returned with a slightly more subdued collection. Fall/winter 2015 sees the designer opt for a much more refined selection of footwear, with options ranging from formal silhouettes to athletic sneaker-inspired high-top and mid-top models featuring materials such as suede, metallic pieces, and leather to create a resounding and luxurious look.
Zanotti, who used to team up with a number of fashion brands to create their footwear, has put those collaborations on the back burner for now. “My dream now is to concentrating on my signature brands. I need to spend the time on myself and tell my story,” said Zanotti. “But for some good friends I still might make some exceptions,” he added with a smile.
Zanotti’s latest includes buckled monk strap shoes that sport gold zippers across their bodies, simplistic, yet sleek loafer designs, an exuberant monochrome leather high-top sneaker flaunting multi-sized black beads, a red and black mid-top sneaker that has been expressively bound by elastic fabric held in place by two gold buckles, and a low-top leather moccasin, featuring tassels laid underneath an intricate, gold interlocking piece.
