Met Gala might be an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in NYC, but the truth is, it’s a fashion show where the biggest celebrities, designers, and influencers come together to display their sartorial savviness. And considering the theme of this year’s event — “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,” which explores the relationship between handmade and machine-produced fashion and lent itself to a dress code of innovative and futuristic looks. There was absolutely no disappointment on the red carpet. From Beyonce, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Lupita Nyong’o, Ciara, Amber Heard, Ivanka Trump to Emmat Watson and many more, they really served up inspiring looks that we’ll live to remember.
