On the heels of her lavish baby shower in New York, Meghan Markle alongside Prince Harry embarked on a trip to Morocco, where the couple arrived at the Casablanca Airport on Saturday evening following a three-day royal tour of the North African country.
As usual, the Duchess of Sussex radiated effortlessly sensational vibes as she made an entrance. For the airport style, the Duchess donned a custom-made red Valentino dress featuring embroidered cape neckline and voluminous cut which was designed perfectly for her baby bump.
Regardless of her seven months pregnancy, we have to say we’re feeling pretty much inspired to see the mom-to-be break one of the basic rules when it comes to maternity fashion. Rather than opting for comfy shoes like kitten heels, Meghan towered and completed the look with a pair of Christian Dior Essence pumps and this Valentino Vee-Ring bag, allowing the dress to steal focus.
According to a royal commentator Omid Scobie, the reason Meghan chose red is that the color has a strong significance to the country. “Meghan wearing
@MaisonValentino this evening in the colour red, which has considerable historic significance in Morocco (and represents hardiness, bravery, strength and valour on the national flag) #RoyalVisitMorocco,” Scobie wrote on Twitter.
The reason for their visit according to Kensington Palace is building a close relationship between the two counties in terms of women’s empowerment and girl’s education. “The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to the visit which will highlight the vital roles that girls’ education and youth empowerment are playing in, and shaping, modern Morocco.”
