Mayowa Nicholas may have started her modeling career in 2014 but she’s soaring high like an eagle. In a span of 3-years, the black beauty has toured all the world’s major fashion capitals and strutting the runways like a supermodel. Having already gained the ground, if she’s not on the runway, Mayowa is either fronting fashion campaigns for luxury brands or soaking up the sunshine with pals. It’s another great news for the runway queen as she’s been confirmed to walk in the 2017 Victoria Secret Fashion Show.
As a way to close the diversity gap in the industry, the show which is set to take place in November is welcoming four other women of color, including Mayowa Nicholas, Amilna Estevao, Herieth Paul, and Alecia Morais. “My heart is full of happiness right now,” Model Maria Borges shared on Instagram. “ 🙌🏿 Thank you very much @victoriassecret 🙏🏿 for giving the opportunity to these beautiful models to shine ✨ @officialamilnaestevao @heriethpaul @alecia_morais @mayowanicholas and others ✨ Congratulations on getting the Victoria’s Secret 2017. Looking forward to slaying the runway with you all. Much love MB.”
