Outrageous Headpieces, Ball Gowns & Colors, See Dolce & Gabbana’s Dazzling Alta Moda Show

Dolce & Gabbana’s show always turns out to be a heart-pounding one. Remember their Alta Moda fashion show in Tokyo last April? It was full of cherry blossoms and Italian style as a sign of respect to the country.

“We have not been to Japan for nearly 30 years, which is far too long,” Domenico Dolce shared with the press. “This is a special, one-off collection dedicated to this country, but, of course, Italy too. It is an in-our-imagination collision of the two places. What’s the point if we travel all the way here and show the same thing in the same way as we would in Milan?” Gabbana asked. “This is Japan and we want to show our respect for this place.”

For the brand’s latest Alta Moda show which took place over the weekend, it was Palermo, Sicily that was on their mind. The Italian fashion house took a trip with a bunch of leggy models to the Island, staging one of the most colorful shows we’ve ever seen. There was a truckload of outrageous of headpieces, beautifully crafted ballgowns, and colorful sequined dresses. Click on to see some images:
